Patricia has worked in the Human Resources field for most of her career. She began in Retail working with House of Fraser, Safeway and Asda in a variety of multi site roles from Area Training Manager to Regional Recruitment Manager. During her time with Marriott Hotels, Patricia has completed an MBA. Currently she oversees the HR function in the 4 Marriott hotels in Scotland (Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dalmahoy and Aberdeen) as well as the 4 North East Marriott Hotels (Gosforth Park, Metro Centre, Sunderland and Durham). She led the whole UK Marriott Hotels, LEP agreement and commitment to Backing Young Britain. In 2009 she was a member of the Glasgow Health Commission, set up by the leader of the city council.
She is a member of Marriott’s IMTN (International Marriott Trainer Network) facilitating 2 of their Senior Management Development programmes – Impact Leadership and the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.
Patricia is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Personnel and Development.
A long term member of the Glasgow Employer Coalition – now Board, she took the position of Chair early in 2009 and most recently saw through the localisation of the Coalition from Working Ventures UK to Glasgow Chamber of Commerce.
