The Employer Engagement Team has also worked in partnership with a number of employers to enhance their recruitment process.
This has involved Open Days, sifting of application forms including basic numeracy and literacy testing, pre selection of clients for interview, interviewing directly for employer to set criteria and assisting employers at interviews.
The Team have also assisted employers in delivering bespoke pre employment training for potential employees. This has led to a number of successful recruitments in the public sector, care industry and finance and call centre sectors.
The Team has also built up close working relationships with other employer organisations across the city to ensure that employers receive a single contact who can explain the range of employer services across the city. This has included direct working with Jobcentre Plus, Local Regeneration Agencies, Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, Glasgow Employer Coalition, Skills Development Scotland, and many more stand alone partner organisations.
