    Data Protection Act 1998

    The Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA) regulates the processing of personal data, that is information about and relating to, living identifiable individuals. 
     
    As a data controller, Glasgow City Council, and therefore Glasgow Works, is obliged to ensure that all processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with this legislation.  These obligations are met by compliance with the eight data protection principles laid down in the DPA and ensuring that all processing is notified to the Information Commissioner.

    Who may process your personal data?

    The information which you provide on the Client Registration and Vacancy Application form may be processed by Glasgow City Council, and therefore Glasgow Works, which is the “data controller” for the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998.
     

    What will your personal data be used for?

    The personal data that you provide on this form may be used in order to provide you with information about the service/support that Glasgow Works can offer you.
     

    Will Glasgow Works use your personal data for any other purpose?
     
    Only for statistical reporting purposes.
     

    Will Glasgow Works disclose your personal data to anyone else?
     
    Only to partners within the Glasgow Works Partnership.
